Program Details

Saving lives is not only a manifestation of a beautiful demonstration of humanity and high ethical standard, but also the implementation of human wisdom. But without superb medical technology, life-saving can only be an aspiration.

It is well known that in the United States, physicians have always been respected and a high-income occupation among all professions. However, the low acceptance rate of American medical schools and the high tuition fees shatter students’ dreams of being a doctor.

Fortunately, in this age of globalization, students can choose to go abroad to complete degree programs equivalent to US medical school. While receiving the same quality of medical study, yet avoid intense competition and high tuition fees.

Wuhan University Medical School MBBS degree program has been offered for over ten years. Currently the majority of international students in MBBS are from Southeast Asia. In order to attract students from the western countries, MBBS Western Exceptional Class Program is established in 2014, and is tailored specifically for America, Europe and students from other western countries. This program not only set the platform for students to obtain professional medical courses, but also has made further enhancement of facilities and faculty team. Wuhan University Medical School also sets proper coaching class especially for USMLE.

  • This bachelor degree is approved by the ministry of education of China and is also approved by World Health Organization (WHO). Students who graduated from this program can attend USMLE (US Medical Licensing Examination) in United States. The link below is one certification for Wuhan University’s education quality:

In the US:   4 years in undergraduate study with a 3.5 GPA
                         + MACT score
+ 4 years in medical school
= 8 years to graduate from a medical school

    MBBS Western Exceptional Class Program:
1 year for fundamental courses study (like chemistry, biology and math)
+ 5 years medical school study
= 6 years to graduate from a medical school
  • The admission requirement is a lot simpler than that is for a U.S. medical schools. Medical College Admission Test (MCAT score) is not required.
  • The tuition fee is much lower than majority medical schools in U.S. The tuition fee in U.S. medical school in average is about 50,000 USD per year. In our program, the tuition fee is 8,400 USD! (For first class students-2015 session)
  • The living expense is cheap and living environment is safe and comfortable. Wuhan City is located in the center part of China. It is one of the most safety places in China. The living cost in Wuhan is about 400 USD per month.
