The 4th annual Discover China-Professional Development Program

(Beijing - Shenyang - Shenzhen)

A two-week program in China to help educators start or strengthen their institution's Chinese programs and partnerships.

US - Beijing 10/09 - 10/10
	Leave for Beijing
Beijing 10/10 - 10/13
10/10:	Arrive in Beijing, check in hotel.
10/11:	AM: Meet with the leaders from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State PM: Meet with education officials from the Beijing municipality and district education commission Evening: enjoy Beijing Roast Duck
10/12:	AM: Meet with principals from varies schools PM: Visit school and meet with local students and teachers
10/13:	Full day: Cultural Activity: Hike the Great Wall, Summer Palace. Explore the Beijing Olympic sites - the Bird Nest and Water Cube Evening: attend a breathtaking Chinese acrobatic show that has been existed in China for thousand years
Shenyang 10/14 - 10/17
10/14:	AM: Cultural Activity: Explore the Forbidden City PM: Travel to Shenyang via high-speed rail
10/15:	AM: Educational meeting with local officials in charge of cultural exchange and education PM: Meet with principals from varies schools in Liaoning province.
10/16:	AM: Continue meet with principals from varies schools in Liaoning province PM: Cultural activities
10/17:	AM: Visit school, observe class and meet with local students and teachers PM: Cultural activities
Shenzhen 10/18 - 10/21
10/18:	AM: Fly to Shenzhen PM: Check-in hotel and relax
10/19:	Full day: China-US K-12 Education Summit Forum (Guangdong Provincial Education Commission and school principals in Guangdong) Evening: banquet with local education officials of Shenzhen and Guangdong
10/20:	AM: Open class –School and student management PM: Open class –Teaching methodology and student centered teaching
10/21:	Cultural Activity: Explore Shenzhen
10/22 Homebound flight
